About Me

Hello sweet friends.

When I was growing up, we spent a lot of time at my grandparents’ house.  My grandmother was this little lady from Wales, England who said words like “rubbish” and “davenport.”  You could expect a hot cup of tea and cookies with each visit. She had this way of making you feel so important, so loved.  During these visits, you could also expect her to call one of us Jane Anne. When hollering at one of her dogs or one of the grandchildren, she would run down the list – Trixie, Tiny, Tammy, Chrissy, Trisha, Trina, … oh Jane Anne!  The funny thing is I always remember answering. While I have no idea why she chose Jane Anne, it makes me smile every time I think of it.

As I was trying to think of a name for this little adventure, Jane Anne popped into my mind.  I hadn’t thought of it in years. So, I looked up the meanings of the names. Jane means “God is gracious.”  Anne means “gracious” or “full of grace.” I thought it just sounded perfect.

I hope I have lived my life full of grace.  I hope to share about life, love, kindness, joy, and grace with you.

When I started this, I did it for me as an outlet.  As I was deciding what to write more, my kids often came to mind.  I decided I wanted to write to give them advice and an insight to life.  You will discover I love flowers and use them often as a featured picture on each post.  I love a good quote.  I love the beach.  I absolutely love my family and friends.  I look for the beauty in everything. I do this because it brings me joy, and I hope it will bring you some joy too.

I’ve had a lot of nicknames in my life.  Jane Anne is one of my favorites because of my sweet little grandma.   Maybe it’s my turn to call people Jane Anne. Or maybe we are all Jane Anne’s to someone.

I hope you will leave me comments or email me with your thoughts.  I would LOVE to hear from you.

xoxo, Trisha
